How to check if Jio is down
Enter jio.com or jiocinema.com at WebsiteDown.com for a live server probe. For network connectivity issues (calls, SMS, mobile data), a website check will tell you if Jio's web services are reachable, but a mobile network outage requires a different signal.
The most reliable real-time indicator for Jio network outages is the volume of user reports on WebsiteDown's Jio status page and on Jio's official Twitter account (@JioCare). A sudden spike of hundreds of reports from users across India is a strong signal of a genuine outage.
Jio 4G vs JioFiber vs JioCinema — different systems
Jio runs several distinct services that can fail independently. Jio 4G/5G mobile network outages affect calls and mobile data. JioFiber broadband outages affect home internet. JioCinema is a streaming platform that runs on Jio's servers but can fail even when your Jio SIM works fine.
If JioCinema is buffering but your mobile data works, the issue is with JioCinema's servers — not your Jio network. Check is-jiocinema-down separately.
Common Jio issues and fixes
No signal or calls failing: toggle Airplane Mode on and off to force a network re-registration. If that does not work, go to Settings → Mobile Network → Network Operators and manually select Jio.
Slow 4G speeds: check if you have exhausted your daily data limit. Jio throttles speeds to 64 Kbps after the daily high-speed cap. Check usage in the MyJio app.
JioFiber not working: restart your JioFiber router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. If the router's WAN light is red or off, the issue is on Jio's side — contact JioFiber support at 1800-896-9999.
MyJio app not working: clear the app cache (Settings → Apps → MyJio → Clear Cache) or reinstall.
